INTRODUCTION
| Acoustic calibrator is a standard sound source that can produce one or more constant sound pressures at one or several frequency points. It is used to calibrate the absolute sound pressure sensitivity of microphones, sound level meters and other acoustic measuring instruments. Accuracy level of acoustic calibrator is divided in o LS level, 1 level and 2 level. LS level is generally used only in laboratory, while 1 level and 2 level are used in field. Level 1 sound level meter should be calibrated by Level 1 calibrator, Level 2 sound level meter can be calibrated by Level 1 or Level 2 sound level calibrator. In the relevant measurement methods of environmental noise, it is stipulated that before and after noise measurement, the acoustic calibrator should be used to calibrate the noise. The error of the two calibration readings should not be greater than 0.5 db. |
